form and content 2

The piece I chose to use was a cover for Interiors magazine created by Paul Carlos with photo shot by Paul Warchol. I found this example on page 149 of Typographic Design: Form and Communication. The cover connects to the content of interiors very well because you are looking in a window to see the interior of the room which is the topic of the magazine; this draws the viewer in to open to the next page. The artists use of color, the lighting effects, and the scale of the man in the window make the piece visually interesting. The designer used contrast, hierarchy, and scale to make this piece work. To compliment the elegance of the minimal interior, small type in analogous colors is placed in the open space and aligned with the windows in the image
